Interdisciplinary Chronic Pain Program
Our interdisciplinary chronic pain program provides the highest standard of care for patients — through therapy, skilled treatment and education to help you manage chronic pain while minimizing the use of medications.
Our Approach to Treating Chronic Pain
Through our interdisciplinary chronic pain program, we help patients manage their chronic pain via therapy, skilled treatment and education. Our program offers a supportive, challenging, active-care rehabilitation environment for patients — the gold standard in the treatment of chronic pain.
In our program, you will learn to manage chronic pain — and discover a path to relief.
- We treat a variety of different diagnoses on an outpatient basis, including chronic low back pain, fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), hypermobility conditions, arthritis pain and many more.
- Our interdisciplinary care team — including doctors, psychologists, physical therapists and occupational therapists — provide evidence-based therapies and interventions that help to improve your physical and emotional well-being.
- Our techniques include sleep modification; pacing strategies; strength and endurance training; and relaxation and mindfulness strategies — all designed to reduce your pain, enhance your function and minimize the use of medications.
- Best of all, our patients report improved outcomes, including a reduction in pain, improved physical function and mood, enhanced ability to cope with pain, and better management of flare-ups. Further, 95% of patients seen in our Pain Management Center recommend our services to others.
Intensive & Flexible Program for Chronic Pain
Our intensive program for chronic pain allows for flexibility, based on your individual needs and goals. Typically, our program is 4-6 weeks in length, and patients may be scheduled anywhere from 3-35 hours per week, as determined by our evaluating team.
Our program is specifically designed to teach and help you to:
- Develop long-term strategies for pain management, health maintenance and a balanced lifestyle
- Recover the ability to perform activities of daily living, occupational tasks and leisure pursuits
- Resolve the emotional and psychological consequences of coping with chronic pain
- Facilitate support from family to promote the patient’s continued use of learned pain management strategies
