The Neural Engineering for Prosthetics & Orthotics Lab is directed by Dr. Levi Hargrove, PhD. It is one of three core labs of the Center for Bionic Medicine.
Our research focuses on developing neural control systems for upper and lower prosthetics. We aim to close important clinical gaps in limitations of current upper and lower limb prostheses by developing advanced control systems for these systems. Our ultimate goal is to develop prosthetic technologies that are safe and easy to control, as well as comfortable to wear.
