Cardio Health Training: Group Fitness Class

Many people know exercise is “good for the heart,” but aren’t sure how much to do, how hard to push or which types of exercise actually improve heart health. Our cardio health training class is designed to teach you exactly that in a simple, supportive and guided way.

Why Does Heart Health Matter?

It’s not just about workouts. It’s about making everyday activities feel easier.

Better cardiovascular fitness helps with:

  • Walking without getting winded
  • Climbing stairs or small hills with confidence
  • Keeping up with kids or grandkids
  • Traveling, walking through airports and carrying bags
  • Doing household activities like cleaning or gardening without fatigue
  • Having more energy throughout your entire day

Class Details

This small-group program will guide you through safe, structured cardiovascular exercise while monitoring your heart rate, so you learn how your body responds to exercise and how to train at the right intensity. Each participant will be provided with a heart rate monitor before every class, allowing you to see your effort in real time and understand your personal exercise zones as you train.

During each session, our exercise physiologist will guide you through cardio workouts using equipment such as treadmills, stationary bikes and NuStep machines.

What you will learn and gain:

  • What heart rate zones are and why they matter
  • How to exercise safely and effectively for heart health
  • How to build stamina and improve endurance
  • How your cardiovascular fitness improves over time

Participants will complete simple fitness testing, such as 6 Minute Walk Test, at the beginning and end of the 11-week program to track progress and see improvements.

Requirements

Participants must complete an intake form and sign a waiver. 

To ensure individual attention and high-quality coaching, the class is limited to only 6 participants.
