Allen Heinemann, PhD, director, Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes Research, was recently named as a member in Sigma Xi, an international scientific and engineering research honor society.
Sigma Xi was founded in 1886 and its members over the years have included more than 200 Nobel Prize winners. It currently boasts approximately 60,000 members.
In naming Dr. Heinemann a member, Sigma Xi has recognized his achievements in research and noteworthy record of contributions to science.
“I don’t know who nominated me, so my main reactions to this honor are feeling surprised and honored,” said Dr. Heinemann. “Gosh!”
