Join us every third Thursday of the month to get together and have meaningful discussions with other stroke survivors. Each meeting will feature a guest speaker who will touch upon different topics related to stroke and stroke recovery.
This November, we will be joined by guest speaker Lauren Andersen, Therapy Development Specialist at MicroTransponder. The topic of our discussion will be Vivistim Paired VNS Therapy for Stroke Recovery. Vivistim is an FDA-approved therapy that helps improve hand and arm function after stroke by pairing mild vagus nerve stimulation with rehabilitation exercises. Lauren is a licensed physical therapist with over 15 years of experience in stroke and neurological rehabilitation. Before joining MicroTransponder, Lauren worked with stroke survivors in both inpatient and outpatient neurorehabilitation settings and led community programs focused on stroke education and recovery.
