Join us every third Thursday of the month to get together and have meaningful discussions with other stroke survivors. Each meeting will feature a guest speaker who will touch upon different topics related to stroke and stroke recovery.
This month's speakers are Camila Bagley and Dr. Lesli Skolarus, who will discuss Northwestern University's ELEVATE Research Study, a patient-centered, community-engaged initiative focused on improving emotional well-being and recovery after stroke.
Camila Bagley serves as the research project manager for ELEVATE within the Community Health Equity Research Partnerships (CHERP) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Lesli Skolarus is a stroke neurologist at Northwestern Medicine who leads the stroke team and nationally recognized research aimed at improving stroke recovery and quality of life.
Together, they will share how ELEVATE partners with stroke survivors, caregivers, clinicians and community organizations to advance recovery and enhance stroke care.
Following the presentation, we will host our end-of-summer potluck. Weather permitting, we will also spend time outdoors in Shirley Ryan AbilityLab's 10th-floor gardens. Please RSVP and let us know of any dietary restrictions so we can do our best to accommodate everyone.
You are welcome to join us even if you are unable to bring a dish. There will be plenty of food, snacks and good company to enjoy.
