Objective

This study is looking at the brain mechanisms of reward processing and reinforcement learning in patients and healthy controls.

You will be doing cognitive tasks and surveys/questionnaires. All testing will be online and/or on pencil & paper.

You will be asked to complete:

  1. Consent and screening session (15 min)
  2. Questionnaires session (1 hour)
  3. Cognitive tasks (1 hour)

Altogether, this will usually take 1-3 hours.

This will be in person at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, 355 East Erie Street, Chicago, IL 60611, on the 25th floor.

Who Can Participate

  • Healthy OR have a history of neurological conditions like traumatic brain injury (TBI)
  • Have normal or corrected to normal vision
  • Able to understand and speak English
  • Able to consent for participation or have a legally authorized representative (LAR) consent on your behalf
  • Able to use a keyboard

Compensation

Participants will be compensated.
