Objective

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is conducting a research study that will help us understand how golf swing performance is impacted by disability.

Participants will attend a single golf-simulator session, lasting roughly 2 hours, and take multiple swings with difficult clubs.

Who Can Participate

  • At least 18 years old
  • Known physical disability: lower limb or upper limb amputation, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, spinal cord injury, brain injury, multiple sclerosis (and other neuromuscular conditions).
  • Previous golf experience with necessary components to complete a golf swing
  • No cardiovascular disease or hypertension that is uncontrolled that may preclude playing golf
  • No individuals unable to complete the necessary components of a golf swing.

Compensation

Participants will receive $30 for the golf session.

18-99
