Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s Pablo Celnik, MD, CEO, and John Dunkin, PT, vice president, strategic alliances, recently visited Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Ill., to meet with hospital leaders and colleagues from the rehabilitation team.
Silver Cross is a core member of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s Global Network. The alliance — which dates to 2009 — is currently Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s longest-running relationship and is marked by a shared commitment to excellence in patient care.
“Thanks to outstanding leadership and seamless collaboration among our institutions, this program continues to raise the bar for patient outcomes in Will County,” said John.

Dr. Celnik and John visited Silver Cross’ 28-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit and outpatient clinic that serve patients in Chicago’s southwest suburbs. The rehabilitation medicine team’s leadership includes Lora Diaz, SLP, executive director; Megan Parkes, MD, medical director; Ross Coolidge, DO, attending physician; Tiavian Franco, APN, nurse practitioner; and Jennifer Zolp, RN, nursing unit manager.
“Staff gathered during their lunch hour to meet with Dr. Celnik and John. We all benefitted from direct communication regarding the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab alliance system of care,” said Lora. “Staff had excellent questions of the leaders and appreciated the recognition of their hard work.”
In addition to the New Lenox location, Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s Silver Cross alliance also operates two additional outpatient clinics in Joliet, Ill., and Homer Glen, Ill.
