The Patient and Family Advisory Council serves an important role in promoting AbilityLab's patient-focused care. It offers a forum for patients and families to give input regarding our programs and policies, identifying opportunities to optimize the patient experience.

Do you know a patient or family member of a patient who would be an asset to the Patient and Family Advisory Council? Encourage them to apply today!

Body

The Patient and Family Advisory Council meets 10 evenings in a yearlong term. Meetings last no longer than two hours, food is served and parking validation is available.

Who Should Apply?

Body

An ideal candidate is someone who:

  • is a patient or family member of a patient who received care at AbilityLab
  • enjoys working with others in a positive and productive manner, provides constructive feedback, and is committed to collaboration
  • demonstrates a focus on improving healthcare services and programs
  • has the ability to see beyond personal experiences to assist AbilityLab continue to evolve for the future

Please note that not everyone who applies to this program will be accepted. Selections will be made solely based upon the needs, focus (e.g., diagnosis) and composition of the Council at the time.
