  • This course is intended for those who have previously completed the Functional Neurological Disorder: From Symptoms to Solutions course.

Advanced Case Studies Session:
This in-depth case studies short course will provide an interactive experience for the learner to identify appropriate outcome measures and assessments for pediatric and adult patients with FND experiencing a variety of symptoms. Facilitators will progress learners through four case studies to develop discipline-specific and interdisciplinary plans of care, intervention adjustments, goal setting and discharge planning. Upon conclusion of this course, learners will be able to confidently manage patients with FND at various levels of care, severity and symptoms to impart patients with the strategies, modifications and skills to return to the community.

DATES AND DELIVERY METHODS
The advanced case studies session (March 24, 2026, 4:00 - 6:00 PM CT) will be held live on a virtual video conference platform. Due to the interactive nature of this event, virtual attendance is required and this session will not be made available on-demand.

LEARNER OUTCOMES
Upon completion of the virtual advanced case studies session, participants will be able to:
1. Identify appropriate patient-provider and interprofessional communication skills and strategies when providing care for patients with FND.
2. Develop interdisciplinary plans of care for patients with FND through discipline-specific, evidence-based and supported outcome measures and assessment tools, goal setting and discharge planning.

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
To successfully complete the live, virtual advanced case studies session, participants will need to attend the live activity on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, attest to your attendance and complete an evaluation at the conclusion of the course through the Academy Learning Portal by Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
