Fall Prevention Update: New Interventions and Technologies to Address Fall Prevention at Home and in the Hospital
Description: Despite decades of research, falls remain a critical public health issue affecting nearly 1 in every 3 older adults annually. This webinar will present a research update on fall prevention strategies and new technologies including remote monitoring, virtual reality/augmented reality apps, and balance measurement platforms. Of particular focus will be on implementation of these strategies in the outpatient clinic, in the hospital, and at the patient's home.

- Evaluate new technologies for fall prevention that can be implemented in therapy sessions or in the home setting
- Describe research guidelines for effective balance and fall prevention interventions
