DESCRIPTION
This webinar will provide an overview of the bone tumors and infections that are commonly encountered in the field of rehabilitation. It will provide the participant with background information on diagnosis, medical management and treatment of bone tumors and infections. The focus will be on the role of rehabilitation professionals (PT/OT) in treating these patients during and after their tumor or infection.
LEARNER OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- List most common bone tumors and infections encountered by
rehabilitation professionals - Summarize diagnosis and medical management of these bone tumors
and infections - Explain role of PT/OT in care of patients with bone tumors and infections throughout the duration of their treatment
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnosis and
evidence-based recommendations for optimal patient care
