About Me
As vice president, data and analytics, Kendle Sims leads the enterprise data strategy for Shirley Ryan AbilityLab — ensuring the organization’s advanced analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities are at the forefront of healthcare technology, operations and interoperability. As a seasoned technology executive with deep expertise in data, analytics and AI, Kendle oversees data technologies and solutions that improve patients’ outcomes, fast-track research breakthroughs, and streamline clinical and organizational operations.
Prior to joining Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in 2025, Kendle served as vice president and chief data officer at Penn State Health. There, she led data, analytics and AI across the academic and community medical centers, ambulatory sites, and Penn State College of Medicine. Her accomplishments include electronic health record system migrations, data management and analytics migration to cloud services, and enabling record-breaking research grant awards through streamlined data access.
Previously, Kendle held data and analytics senior leadership roles at The Coca-Cola Company, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and McKesson. Her record of large-scale projects included cloud and big data implementations, interoperability data exchanges, and AI product development.
Kendle earned a bachelor’s degree at Oakland University in Michigan and has a data and AI leadership certification from the MIT Sloan School of Management. She is a member of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), Women in Technology (WIT), and DAMA International.
