About Me

John is an ABC Certified and Illinois Licensed Orthotist-Prosthetist who provides orthotic care to patients at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s Burr Ridge Outpatient and DayRehab® Center and the flagship hospital. John specializes in Neuromuscular and Pediatric populations. He strives to provide compassionate care with an understanding of each patient’s pathology and unique needs to formulate the most appropriate orthotic treatment plan. John is committed to fostering collaboration amongst an interdisciplinary team and was instrumental in developing a daily Orthotic Evaluation Clinic at the flagship hospital to optimize patient outcomes.

He has a passion for educating others and has presented nationally and internationally about stroke treatment modalities, interdisciplinary collaboration and patient education. John is also a content contributor for the Academy and is a lecturer for its annual stroke course. He mentors Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Orthotic residents, educates students from Northwestern University’s Prosthetic/Orthotic Center and provides educational in-services to physicians and therapists. Outside of work, John enjoys running, coaching, home winemaking, and traveling to national parks with his family
