Jennifer Richert, OTR/L

About Me

Jennifer Richert is an occupational therapist, with 18 years of experience, 16 of those at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab with successive leadership roles. In her clinical position as Associate Director, Internal Staff Development, she oversees orientation, training, education, and mentoring for allied health staff throughout all levels of care. The overarching goal of the department is leading and implementing best practice. Prior to this role, Jennifer worked in pediatrics (both inpatient and outpatient), serving first as staff therapist, then Program Specialist, and finally Allied Health Manager of the inpatient pediatric unit. She then transitioned to a role as the Clinical Manager for the Pain Management Center at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, giving her a strong understanding of care delivery across various levels of care. Jennifer's specific clinical interest areas include pediatrics, burns, and serial casting.
