Amber Willbanks

Amber Willbanks received her BA in Molecular, Cellular and Genetic Biology from Boston University in 2017. She has been conducting research full time since graduation, first studying cancer epigenetics, and now focusing on cancer cachexia. Amber started working with Dr. Ishan Roy in May 2021 and plays a role in the mouse pancreatic cancer cachexia models and protocols, molecular and genetic characteristics within mouse and human cachectic muscle and serum samples, and cachectic muscle immune cell profiling. She is also responsible for training new lab members, designing new experiments and maintaining collaborator relationships.
