About Me

Kelly Valignota, DO, is a double board-certified physician in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. She specializes in the nonsurgical management of musculoskeletal, spinal, and neurologic conditions using a holistic, patient-centered approach. Her interests include injury prevention, biomechanical rehabilitation, and care of athletes and performers of all ages.
 
She has advanced fellowship training in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided injections, and regenerative medicine. A former professional dancer and trained musician, Dr. Valignota has a special interest in performing arts medicine and provides care through the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s Performing Arts Medicine Program
 
Before joining Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, she served as a Team Physician for collegiate athletics and as an attending physician at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System and the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
