About Me

Joann Prekezes is a highly skilled Occupational Therapist who is HTCC certified (i.e. Certified Hand Therapist). She has over 12 years of experience treating upper extremity dysfunction including mutilated/traumatic hand. She specializes in complex peripheral nerve injuries, polytrauma, professional musicians, activity analysis and ergonomics. She is an expert in utilizing external supports to treat issues such as taping, casting and splinting. She regularly acts as a mentor to therapists and assists in creating educational content as it relates to the upper extremity.
