Jan Struhar, DPT

About Me

Jan Struhar, PT, DPT, is a board-certified specialist in oncologic physical therapy and allied health oncology clinical educator at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago. His work combines clinical care, clinician education, and program development to improve function, independence and quality of life for people living with cancer.

As co-chair of the Oncology Practice Committee, he helps advance cancer rehabilitation through clinical pathways, impairment screening, interdisciplinary collaboration and mentorship. I also support patient experience initiatives that use patient feedback to guide improvements in care.

My professional interests include cancer survivorship, palliative rehabilitation, functional outcomes and translating research into practical approaches that strengthen rehabilitation services.
