Debbie Lee, MD, is a physiatrist who sees patients at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Musculoskeletal Medicine group. Her primary clinical focus is in non-operative management of spine and musculoskeletal condition. She performs interventional spine procedures in fluoroscopy, as well as peripheral joint and nerve injections under ultrasound.
Dr. Lee is dedicated to providing compassionate, holistic and team-oriented patient care. She applied this approach while working as a Registered Nurse prior to medical school, and has continued to implement it throughout her medical career. She values the time spent with her patients, and is committed to developing an individualized treatment plan that will allow patients to return to functioning and doing activities they enjoy with less pain.
Dr. Lee is also passionate about personal and professional growth through education and leadership. During residency, she completed both the Medical Education Clinical Scholars Program at Northwestern and the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Residency Medical Education Track. She served as our Chief Resident in her final year of training here at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. She has held national leadership positions including PM&R representative to the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Organization of Resident Representatives (ORR), and fellow representative for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Pain Medicine Milestone Project Working Group.
