Happy Anniversary, Shirley Ryan AbilityLab!

Body

Five years ago, the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) transformed into Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, promising to accelerate patient recovery and advance the science of rehabilitation. Our clinicians and scientists moved into a new, state-of-the-art hospital specifically designed to facilitate translational research. Beyond the change of name and address, we revolutionized the way we practiced medicine and pursued breakthroughs. As we celebrate the anniversary of our move date, it’s exciting to reflect on our progress!

We invite you to hear from Rick Lieber, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer, on some of our translational research studies under way by clicking on the videos below. Collectively, these serve as just a few examples of how we are accelerating ability and advancing care and science.
