Celebrating 17 Years of Collaboration with Willis Tower
At Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s Keystone Board meeting on Thursday, May 8, 2025, the hospital celebrated 17 years of the annual stair-climbing event, SkyRise Chicago. Attendees honored Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s longtime relationship with the Willis Tower and Skydeck Chicago, which is located on the skyscraper’s 103rd floor.

This study aims to identify genetic factors/susceptibilities associated with the course of treatment induced behavioral outcomes, motor arm recovery, quantify stress and activities of daily living during the recovery phase after stroke.

Grant Award: Novel Device to Monitor Patients and Prevent Pressure Ulcers
CBM received an internal grant to develop a data-driven tracking device that can be fitted to hospital beds within the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and used by nursing staff to monitor a patient's orientation within the bed and how long they have been stagnant.
