We are always proud to announce the advancement of our lab staff into higher education to advance their careers. We are especially proud of Kristen as she has been admitted into the Bioengineering PhD program at the University of Illinois at Chicago for Fall 2021.
Kristen has been with the Regenerative Neurorehabilitation Lab since 2019. Her most recent work with the lab was published in Science Advances. The article,Three-dimensional, multifunctional neural interfaces for cortical spheroids and engineered assembloids, explains the full construction and intention behind the research of novel 3D submillimeter-scale interfaces that monitor brain organoids to reproduce and learn of the complex structural features of a brain in vitro.
