In its February 15 issue, Modern Healthcare magazine honored Joanne C. Smith, MD, president and CEO of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, as one of the Top 25 Women Leaders in the nation. Modern Healthcare releases this prestigious list every other year, and this is the second consecutive time the outlet has honored Dr. Smith — she was previously honored in 2019.

In addition to being named to Modern Healthcare's Top 25 Women Leaders list, Dr. Smith also has been included on other rosters, including Modern Healthcare's “50 Most Influential Clinical Executives” and Crain's Chicago Business’ “Notable Women in Health Care.”
