Nordic Walking class improves your walking endurance, balance, posture, and agility by incorporating poles for a comprehensive full-body workout. Designed to boost your stamina and confidence while walking, these classes help strengthen your entire body and enhance flexibility. This can positively impact your ability to perform daily activities such as long-distance walks, stepping on and off curbs, crossing wide streets, sightseeing, climbing stairs and keeping up with family and friends to maintain your independence. You'll learn balance, strength and gait exercises while safely navigating agility courses and small obstacles using Nordic poles.

- Dates: This is an 11-week class taking place August 13 through September 24, 2025.
- Time: Wednesdays, 9:45-10:30 am
- Location: Lake Shore Park (class will be meeting by the strengthening machines, north/west corner)
- Cost: $70 for the full 7-week session or $15 per drop-in, $45 registration fee for new participants (this includes a fitness evaluation)
- Nordic Poles will be provided, or participants can bring their own.

Participants must complete an intake form and sign a waiver. Good for all fitness levels. All participants must be ambulatory and able to walk unassisted. Caregivers are encouraged to attend if additional support is needed and be current members of the Fitness Center.
