Dr. Colin Franz presented with Richard Materson ERF New Investigator Award at American Academy of PM&R Annual Meeting in Orlando

Dr. Colin Franz received the Materson ERF New Investigator Award from the Foundation for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the AAPM&R annual meeting in Orlando, FL on October 25, 2018. His award was for his exciting research focused on precision rehabilitation medicine entitled “’Neurotrauma in a Dish: An Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell-based Assay to Determine Patient-specific Factors Affecting Rehabilitation Outcomes”.  Ultimately, he hopes this line of investigation will improve our ability to personalize rehabilitation treatments based on person-specific factors such as their genetic make up.  Past award winners of this award include SRAlab's very own Dr. Prakash Jayabalan in 2016.
