Clair McGregor, PhD, Research Assistant, Postdoctoral Fellow. 2019-2021
Originally from Chicago, Claire got her BA in Ohio at Oberlin College with a major in neuroscience. Her honors project focused on how estrogens and luteinizing hormone affect cognition in a rodent model of schizophrenia. After college, Claire headed to Shanxi, China for a two-year fellowship where she discovered her love of badminton and swing dancing. She then made her way to Atlanta, where she joined lab of Dr. Art English and received her PhD in neuroscience in 2018. Her work there focused on how a common single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) alters response to treatments for enhancing axon regeneration after peripheral nerve injury.
