Dr. Adenike Adewuyi to Receive Materson New Investigator Award at 2022 AAPM&R in Baltimore

On Oct. 22, 2022, Adenike Adewuyi, MD, PhD, will be honored with the Richard Materson ERF New Investigator Research Grant Award, presented by the Foundation for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The ceremony will take place during the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation’s (AAPM&R) 2022 Annual Assembly in Baltimore.

Dr. Adewuyi is a 2022 graduate of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) residency program; she is now a neuromuscular fellow at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine’s Department of Neurology.

This award is for her project, “Motor Unit Number Estimation in Spinal Cord Injury,” which she investigated during her residency at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
