Providing education and support for our patients and their families is an essential part of our mission. Our Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders (PDMD) team offers a wide variety of educational opportunities and events to provide support for you, your family and your care partners. This support includes one-on-one sessions, peer mentoring, online courses, in-person sessions and conferences to address topics such as:

  • Optimizing treatment strategies
  • Managing symptoms
  • Empowering abilities

LIFE Center

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is also proud to have the Henry B. Betts LIFE Center. The LIFE Center is a multimedia education center that provides opportunities for Learning, Innovation, Family and Empowerment for people living with a wide range of cognitive and physical impairments, chronic conditions or diseases affecting function.

Academy

Body

On top of the offerings for our patients and their care partners, the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Academy also has accredited online and in-person courses, webinars, and hands-on programs for medical professionals. These continuing education courses are designed with the common goal of improving patient outcomes.
