Part I presents general considerations preparing the reader with respect to the pathophysiologic mechanisms, the clinical features, the pertinent laboratory tests, and the pharmacologic, non pharmacologic, and psychological treatment approaches.
Part II covers trigger point management including theory, background information, and technique.
Part III covers physical therapy and rehabilitation including exercise, electrical modalities, therapeutic massage techniques, manual therapy techniques, body mechanics, and ergonomics."
