About Me

Gabrielle Schmidt, MA, LPC, ATR, joined Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in 2025. She works with patients across all innovation centers using creative and adaptive approaches to ensure art therapy is accessible to all patients. Gabrielle focuses on providing strengths-based support as they accompany patients on their personal inpatient journeys. They especially enjoy using clay/ceramics and creating collages with patients. Gabrielle joins Shirley Ryan AbilityLab with previous experience in outpatient community mental health and older adult services.
