Adjustment to Disability

Description:  The webinar will discuss common adjustment reactions to patients with disabilities, review some of the emotional disorders seen with rehabilitation populations, review common emotional issues with TBI, SCI, CVA, and amputation, and discuss caregiver stress.

Objectives 
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify normal reactions to disability
  • Discuss the symptoms of major depression, anxiety and PTSD
  • Identify common emotional issues with SCI, CVA TBI and amputation
  • Identify caregiver stress and have tools to help address it
