Ann Santino, RN, APN

About Me

Ann Santino joined the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab team in 2016. She is a Registered Nurse with an established career in caring for patients in acute care, as well as in private-practice settings. She specializes in orthopedics, with expertise ranging from sports medicine to adult reconstructive surgery. Ann also has an advanced practice degree and certification in orthopedics.

Together with her colleagues, Ann provides assistance to social workers and case managers to help identify patients early on, while they are still in acute care, who would benefit greatly from inpatient rehabilitation. Ann especially enjoys helping patients and family members understand how to find and use all of the services and resources available at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.

Ann is a lifelong Chicagoan, residing in the city with her husband and four children, and is an avid tennis player .
