The 40 doctors in the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Medical Residency program — the clinical training home of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine’s Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) — are on a four-year journey in which they serve as integral members of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab team and gain on-the-job training and qualify for the next phase of their careers.

Both Feinberg Post-Doctoral Fellowships feel they’ve gained a new respect for the political process and the people who devote their lives to shaping healthcare policy. And they’ve added new skills that have already changed the trajectories of their careers.
