About Me
Dr. Chu completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) and Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. He has held multiple leadership positions including chief resident as well as Vice President of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) Resident Physician Council. He teaches musculoskeletal ultrasound nationally and currently serves as the Co-Course Director for AAPM&R Step One Ultrasound Course. He was previously the representative from the Association of Academic Physiatrists to the American Medical Association. Dr. Chu has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles with particular interests in musculoskeletal ultrasound, outcomes research as well as medical education. He is the program director for the Sports Medicine fellowship at Northwestern McGaw Medical Center/Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
