About Me
Dr. Chu completed his residency through the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University/Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now Shirley Ryan AbilityLab) and his fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He has held multiple leadership positions including chief resident as well as Vice President of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) Resident Physician Council. He teaches musculoskeletal ultrasound nationally and currently serves as the Co-Course Director for the AAPM&R Step One Ultrasound Course. He was previously the representative from the Association of Academic Physiatrists to the American Medical Association. Dr. Chu has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles with particular interests in musculoskeletal ultrasound, outcomes research and medical education. He is the Program Director for the Sports Medicine Fellowship and Associate Program Director for the PM&R Residency Program at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University/Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. He is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
