Keystone Board Members Attend Fundraiser for Pediatric Rehabilitation Programs
Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s team and Keystone Board members recently represented Shirley Ryan AbilityLab at “Super Preak” — which is named after the Preakness Stakes horserace — an annual fundraising event hosted by two families in Chicago’s Roscoe Village neighborhood that supports a rotating list of children’s charities.
With more than 250 attendees, this year’s “Super Preak” supported Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, raising $15,000 for our pediatric rehabilitation programs. When one attendee — a former patient — learned that Shirley Ryan AbilityLab would be the recipient of the event’s donations, she burst into tears!
The Shirley Ryan AbilityLab “Super Preak” team comprised Sandra Miller, senior director, Advancement; Liz Berton, occupational therapist and inpatient pediatric supervisor; Sarah Hwang, MD, attending physician and director, women’s health rehabilitation; and Keystone Board members Dave and Jenny Roock.
