Webinar Title and Description: Optimizing Sight: Low Vision Rehabilitation and Innovations for Interprofessional Medical Teams - Go beyond standard vision care and identify advancements in technology and rehabilitation techniques that are transforming the world of low vision care. This webinar will explore emerging innovations that can maximize functional vision and independence for those with visual impairments. Optical devices, assistive technologies, and rehabilitation approaches will be discussed. Attendees will learn practical strategies to implement these low vision solutions to help patients adapt and thrive with low vision.

Learner Outcomes: Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:  

  1. Outline approaches for developing collaborative, patient-centered low vision rehabilitation strategies across professions.
  2. Discuss strategies for maximizing functional independence in daily living activities for low vision patients using innovative techniques and technologies.
  3. Describe how breakthroughs in low vision research can translate into improved quality of life outcomes for those living with visual impairment.

Successful Completion: Participants will be present during the live webinar in its entirety and complete an attendance verification and assessment in the Academy Learning Portal within one month of the live air date.
