Katie Earnest, nurse manager, Spinal Cord Innovation Center, was honored as a 2018 Pinnacle Leader at the annual Power of Nursing Leadership Awards.
Founded in 1998, this celebration of nurse leaders in Illinois is hosted by University of Illinois-Chicago College of Nursing.
Katie was one of a select group of 39 nurses who were recognized at the Nov. 30 event. She was chosen by her colleagues at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, who recognized her continuous commitment to excellence and patient-centered care, as well as her contributions as a nurse leader. Katie recently became a PI, expanding her responsibilities to include leading her team in nursing research.
