Martin is an ABC-Certified and Illinois Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist and serves as on the Inpatient Prosthetics and Orthotics team. Martin’s clinical interests include working with spinal orthoses, upper extremity orthoses and acute inpatient orthotic management. Martin has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He completed the Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center certificate programs in Prosthetics in 1997 and Orthotics in 2001. He then completed his prosthetics residency at Springer Prosthetics in Lansing, MI and his orthotics residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. Martin has worked as an adjunct faculty member in the Orthotic Prosthetic Technician (OPT) program at Joliet Junior College (JJC). His work on a unique custom shoulder orthosis has been featured as a poster presentation at the Association of Academic Physiatrists (AAP) Annual Meeting. Currently Martin splits his time between clinical work at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab and lecturing at Northwestern University Prosthetic Orthotic Center in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Feinberg School of Medicine.
