Limb Motor Control Lab: Motor Cortical Representation of Reaching and Grasping
The foundation of our work has been for many years, the study of the brain's representation of reaching and grasping movements.
Research Project
Development of motor cortical interfaces for control of reaching, grasping and locomotion
Using multi-electrode array technology and the basic principles we and other labs have discerned through basic research, we are working to develop neural interfaces that allow us to read out detailed information about arm movements from the motor cortex.

Stiff Knee Gait and Rectus Transfer
The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship of the hip power in 3D Gait Analysis to select a set of preoperative gait features that distinguished between good (i.e., no longer stiff) and poor (i.e., remaining stiff) postoperative outcomes after rectus transfer surgery in children with Cerebral Palsy.

Foot Pressure and Force Trajectory Changes Resulting from the Dwyer Procedure
To evaluate the Dwyer procedure we will assess the changes in foot pressure distribution and center of force (COF) trajectory of patients who had gait analysis done at the Motion Analysis Center.
Research Project
Error augmentation in 2 and 3 dimesions
Rather than helping someone move, we rely on the aspects of neuroplasticity in the brain to facilitate learning to move, or re-learning after an injury.
