New Parkinson's Foundation Community Grant: "IDEAS en Español"
the 3rd edition of the IDEAS education series in the late summer/early fall of 2022. This grant will help support a new initiative entitled: “Información para el Desarrollo Educativo y Apoyo Social en la comunidad afectada por Parkinson (IDEAS en Español)” or “Information for Educational Development and Social Support in the Parkinson’s Community.”

We aim to create new technology and techniques for studying physical and neurological trauma, using sensors, heaters, LED and arrays.

Näder Lab: Assessment and Monitoring of Neuromotor Function through Advanced Dynamic Pose Estimation
We will use videos of people with Parkinson's disease (PD) doing different things to develop sophisticated computer programs that can detect specific movement patterns that are only seen in people with PD. We will then see how well our computer programs can diagnose early PD, compared with medical and clinical professionals.

Specialized Immune Cells May Improve Early Detection of Parkinson’s Disease
The elevated presence of specialized immune cells called alpha-synuclein reactive T-cells found in patients prior to developing motor symptoms and receiving a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, suggests that increased reactivity of these cells may be present long before clinical diagnosis.
