The Max Näder Lab for Rehabilitation Technologies and Outcomes Research is directed by Dr. Arun Jayaraman, PT, PhD. It is one of three core labs at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab's Center for Bionic Medicine.
Currently, the lab is very unique in that it is one of the few clinical labs to develop and execute both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated research in prosthetics, orthotics, rehabilitation robotics, as well as other assistive and adaptive technologies. Our lab conducts outcomes-based research using advanced wearable sensors in addition to traditional performance-based and patient-reported measures.
The Max Näder Lab was founded via a philanthropic endowment from Ottobock HealthCare to encourage independent research in clinical outcomes in the field of Prosthetics, Orthotics & Rehabilitation Robotics.
