In January 2016, Brett Becker was skiing with his family when he missed a jump and hit his head. The injury caused a severe traumatic brain injury, which affected his memory, comprehension, speaking, mobility and activities of daily living.
“I was only given a 10 percent chance to live,” Brett said. “And only given a 1 percent chance to live and be functioning.”
After two months of intensive inpatient rehabilitation, he was discharged and walked out of RIC on March 20, 2016. Today, Brett is back in college and has big plans. He continues to receive care at SRAlab.
