Flex-Ability is a class that focuses on exercises that will help to alleviate stiffness and tension that can lead to decreased mobility and poor posture. Stretching exercises have been shown to improve muscles flexibility, reduce joint stiffness, muscle spasms, provide chronic pain relief and can help counteract the postural changes caused by inflexibility and aging.
This class emphasizes stretching exercises and breathing techniques to allow rigid muscles to relax and to safely improve your functional range of motion in all major joints. This class is ideal for anyone with stiffness, especially people with Parkinson's Disease or arthritis.
Requirements:
-participants must be able to get on and off the floor for mat exercises
