Walking an 18-Hole Golf Course Versus Using a Motorized Golf Cart in Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective

The purpose of this study is to compare the acute effects on the knee joint of walking the golf course to using a motorized golf cart during a round of golf in patients with knee OA. Our overarching goal is to provide golfers with knee OA evidence-based recommendations regarding the method of transportation to use during a round of golf.

Who Can Participate

●    Regular golf players (defined as self-reported golf player who plays 3-4 times/month in the spring/summer/fall)
●     History of knee osteoarthritis

Compensation

You receive 2 free rounds of golf and $25 per round to compensate for your time and travel expenses.

Age Range ≥ 50 years
