Amputee Research Registry

The Regenstein Foundation Center for Bionic Medicine (CBM), in collaboration with the Center for Pain Studies, is seeking individuals with all types of amputation to complete a short survey. All information collected will be used to create the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Amputee Research Registry, a secure list of individuals who are interested in research opportunities at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.

Currently, the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab has a number of projects underway to improve the design and control of artificial limbs. However, for many of these research studies, it is difficult to identify appropriate participants.

This database list will be used by Center for Bionic Medicine and Center for Pain Studies researchers, and by other professionals at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and Northwestern, who complete studies involving amputees. In order to sign up for the database list, you must be an adult (age 18-95) and speak/read sufficient English to complete the consent and registration process.

If you sign up, you may be contacted in the future to see if you qualify and are interested in signing up for research studies. By participating in this list, you are not committing to participate in any current or future study.

Please contact the registry staff if you are interested in completing the information to become a part of the registry.
