3/23/22: Medical Complications in Stroke Rehabilitation

Description: This course will review the common medical comorbidities and complications seen during and after stroke rehabilitation, discussing frequencies, recognition, and management approaches. The review also will summarize the existing literature on the impact of these conditions on rehabilitation and long-term outcomes.
Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Name the common medical comorbidities and complications seen during rehabilitation and long term follow up of people with strokes.
- Describe some of the common prevention and treatment interventions of these complications.
- Summarize what is known about the impact of these complications on rehabilitation long term outcomes.
