Description:   During the Covid-19 Pandemic, Allied Health Professionals were forced to quickly change their current in-person practices to remote telehealth practices to provide patient care.  In this webinar, participants will explore the multifaceted world of telehealth practices, how the pandemic changed state and federal laws to allow for the implementation of telehealth and what that looks like now for allied health professionals. Legislation, reimbursement, and the technical considerations for implementing these practices will all be reviewed.         I

Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Express Telehealth definitions and terminology.
  • Describe the changes to state and federal law enacted to allow implementation of Telehealth in the spring of 2020.
  • Discuss current legislation that affects Telehealth.
  • Discuss the status of various methods of reimbursement for Telehealth.
  • Describe the technical considerations necessary for the utilization of Telehealth.
  • Summarize current examples of Telehealth practice by Allied Health Professionals.
